To Israel and Beyond: A Journalist's Path to Freedom -- With Moshe Beauford.

Moshe has been a journalist at UC Today for just over a year now but has embedded himself perfectly following experience in technology communications and PR.As a fairly new face to Unified Comms, Moshe says business communications is so important for the bottom line of businesses. While it's not a mainstream term, he recognizes the importance of relaying the benefits.Moshe references the enterprise side as talking about the functionality rather than the brand itself. People talk about accessibility and benefits in the business world and aren't as brand-led as they are in consumer life.I asked Moshe if he knew just how many vendors and different technology types there were in the Unified Comms before he joined. He mentioned the overwhelm he experienced when he first joined UC Today due to all the different aaS's in the industry and how there are multiple vendors for every product.CPaaSI wanted to dig into who Moshe is writing for when it comes to CPaaS. He mentioned a hybrid audience of developers, partners, and resellers. Programmable communications is relevant to every part of the contact centre so it's important that we are talking to businesses as a whole rather than just technical jargon.The contact centre space has evolved so rapidly recently that you can almost do anything within your contact centre. Adoption only stumbles due to a lack of embracing the cloud. Moshe says the technology is there but often companies are held back from achieving their full potential. Cloud CommunicationsFollowing his coverage of Avaya Engage, I specifically wanted to find out if Moshe felt Avaya was serious about cloud. He said while it wasn't explicitly called out as cloud transformation, there were plenty of hints that Avaya was talking about moving their existing customer base to the cloud.What is Unified Comms?Moshe calls Unified Comms a seamless experience. You can attend a meeting on the go, you can transfer a call to your cell phone automatically. When the entire customer communications experience is seamless, that's Unified Comms.I liked Moshe's definition as an experience rather than a product or a solution.Moshe thinks the experience-focused vendors will succeed more so than the vendors focused on products and features.Unified Comms Marketing Moshe agreed that the industry is full of buzzwords rather than specific actionable items like "a reduction in dropped calls". It will be important for vendors to clearly communicate what their solution will do for the customer and answer their questions.Without leading Moshe, he flatters me by complimenting the content I am working on at Mio.The Future of Unified CommsMoshe says artificial intelligence is already here to the future is going to be 5G.
