Her role involves every facet of the distribution business including content acquisition, editorial, programming, consumer engagement, development, innovation, marketing, partnerships, and production. Guest Bio Keesha Boyd Executive Director for Multicultural Video and Entertainment Comcast NBCU Keesha leads content strategy across all Comcast platforms centering Black, Latino, Asian American and international audiences. Her role involves every facet of the distribution business including content acquisition, editorial, programming, consumer engagement, development, innovation, marketing, partnerships, and production. As a seasoned and culturally-fluent media executive, Keesha does more than balance budgets. She is deeply passionate about providing economic equity for underrepresented content creators and pioneering new ways to amplify stories reflective of communities of color. Keesha is the key player behind several first-of-its-kind content destinations engaging Black viewers, including the launch of two Black-owned linear networks and, most notably, Comcast’s first ad-supported video service known as the Black Experience channel on Xfinity. Keesha is a proven and purpose-driven leader who has held several progressive roles at notable Fortune 500 companies Ryder Transportation and McDonald's Corporation. She holds a B.A. from Emory University and two Master’s degrees from Columbia University with a focus on organizational behavior as well as race, culture and cultural identity. Her diverse background makes her uniquely-equipped to drive measurable results among the teams she leads and the game-changing work they produce. When Keesha is not on the corporate stage, she enjoys watching movies, listening to hip-hop, indulging in self-care and healing practices, mentoring young women and coaching professionals on how to navigate corporate America. She is also a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated and co-chairs the Technology Committee of The Links, Incorporated, Philadelphia Chapter, one of the nation’s oldest and largest volunteer service organizations.
