Dr. Michael Staples served as the President of Scripture Union USA and is now assisting them in their transition to new leadership. As President, he was entrusted to lead the organization's efforts to help children, young people, and those of all ages meet God daily in His word and in prayer. Michael is particularly passionate about seeing our current generations of young people and children discover a relationship to Christ and become His disciples. Michael brings a broad background of experience to this position as a missionary, educator, community development director, and mobilizer of church volunteers to work with youth and children over a 25+ year span. A graduate of Grove City College, Erskine Seminary, and Fuller Seminary where he earned a doctorate in Leadership and Organizational Development, Michael has served as both a teacher/trainer of others as well as spearheading projects for youth and children throughout Africa, Asia, and the US.
