Keelon Brookins joined the Kent State coaching staff  as cornerbacks coach in January of 2022. Brookins came to Kent State from the University of Northern Iowa where he coached the defensive backs from 2019-2021. Brookins oversaw a unit that was top-20 in the FCS in interceptions and defensive pass efficiency.
