Gabriela Herculano is the co-founder and CEO of iClima Earth, a leading green fintech that focused on helping investors find climate champions, i.e. listed companies that can decarbonise the planet. Gabriela has been an investor in the renewable energy space for many years and today she shares her journey from starting off as a financial analyst in Brazil to pioneering the impact green fintech space and launching the first equity benchmark composed of Climate Champions or listed securities that can help the world transition to a carbon neutrality. Gaby Herculano is Chief Executive Officer &amp; Co-Founder at iClima Earth, a London-based impact green fintech. Their mission is to redefine climate change investments, by focusing on the companies that can enable CO2e avoidance. Not only we hope to shift the narrative, focusing on the companies with products and services that can transition the world to a low carbon economy, but we also bring to market products with tangible and quantifiable impact.With has over 25 years’ experience in finance and in energy, she started her career in equity research, covering the Latin American electric utility sector at Lehman Brothers. After business school she moved into the buy side, where she worked at greenfield project finance and M&amp;A at energy developer AES Corporation and as an Executive Director at GE Capital’s Energy Financial Services team in London.When structuring private equity infrastructure investments her primary focus was on renewable energy assets across Europe, having invested into solar and onshore wind, and screened several opportunities also in offshore wind. Gaby combines solid fundamental analysis skills with energy industry knowledge. Moreover, she has been involved with sustainable development since 1992 when she attended the UNFCCC Earth Summit in Rio de Janeiro.
