The world is starting to wake up again, just like Bert the Bear after a long winter’s hibernation and one sure sign is that model railroad shows are beginning to open up. We here at the ole’ AML Network pride ourselves on bringing you the latest news from around the hobby several weeks late. Our old friend Ron from Mine Mount Models is so excited about finally getting a chance to display his fine products in person again, he’s dancing around the workshop listening to his favorite Pointer Sisters album. So grab yourself a big bowl of shredded shingles, a steaming hot mug of Titebond 2 glue and enjoy !!

It’s another fine Friday for all of our Fine Scale Modelers out there because we’ve got another episode lined up for you. This is sure to be an awesome build and we’re excited to see how this one looks once it’s finally released. The official name of the new kit is Palzer Plumbing Supplies and it’s the largest structure from Mine Mount Models available to-date. We also go over the old-school episode format with Ron where we talk about what’s on our busy workbenches which includes some of what Ron’s been working on with this kit, Brett playing around with the new static grass applicator, and Todd ripping into some new builds! We also announce this week’s Podcast Contest winner: Greg Leiphart who shared his photo of some interiors that he’s adding to his current build. Great work Greg! Bench Time #66: Ron Klaiss of Mine Mount Models - New Kit Preview and Modeling Talk

We return to the workbenches again this week following another awesome time at the Fine Scale Expo, and we introduce a up and comer on the kit manufacturer scene; Ron Klaiss of Mine Mount Models.  Ron gives us the nitty gritty, down low on his structure kits and laser cut building material available, the thought processes and what is involved in starting a business in the kit designing world, and he helps us chime in on answering some of our weekly questions from our listeners and patrons.  A great guy, Ron is also a patron of HO Scale Customs Bench Time Podcast, and we go down a lot of rabbit holes and have some fun talking tips, tricks, and a lot of hearty laughs too!  Next on this # 46 cast,  Todd tells us a little bit about HO Scale Customs great time at the EXPO and how he nearly single-handedly brought Bar Mills display to a crashing nightmare!  And he and Brett both profusely thank the EXPO organizers and guests for their complete heartfelt and unselfish support for Cancer and Autism Awareness for Brett’s 100 mile run for the two charities, and Brett goes into the details a bit about the grueling hell he went through to complete the 100 mile challenge in the tough terrain and climbs of the Talladega National Forest.
