In this episode, I’m joined by Dr. Janice Stevens, LPC. She specializes in serving women who are partners of sex addicts. We discuss warning signs of relationship trauma, gas lighting, different types of sexual addiction, the 3 ways to know if he’s really in recovery, when to decide if separation is appropriate, and how to restore your marriage (if you choose to). Dr. Janice Stevens, LPC, NCC, CCPS, CCSAS specializes in working with spouses/partners of sex addicts.  She is an experienced group leader and therapist and is a certified clinical partner specialist with the Association for Partners of Sex Addicts Trauma Specialists (APSATS.)  Dr. Stevens understands and works extensively with the trauma experienced by partners of people with sexual infidelity issues.  She is a part of the Capstone Sexual Recovery &amp; Transformation program. Dr. Stevens obtained her doctorate degree in Counseling Psychology from Argosy University, and is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and a nationally certified counselor (NCC) with the National Board of Certified Counselors.  She is a certified clinical sexual addiction specialist (CCSAS) with the International Association of Certified Sexual Addiction Specialists.  Dr. Stevens is also a certified clinical partner specialist (CCPS) with the Association for Partners of Sex Addicts Trauma Specialists (APSATS).  Janice currently enjoys traveling and spending time with her children and grandchildren.
