Jason Barnucz is a trained research biologist and the Conservation Director for the Ontario Bass Nation. Last year he challenged the over 700 members of the Ontario Bass Nation to take the next step and “Pledge to Pitch”, a BASS Nation program designed to ensure used soft plastic fishing lures are disposed of in a sustainable  way. It lead to four of the 22 BASS member clubs receiving the Shimano Jackle prize valued at $1,000 presented by the Canadian Sport Fishing League.Listen as Jason speaks with Lawrence Gunther this week on Blue Fish Radio about the program and what’s coming next.

Jason is a Fisheries Biologist from Southern Ontario working with Fisheries and Oceans Canada. He shares a wealth of information with me on this show.
