Dr. Tyrell Connor, co-host of the Black and Highly Dangerous Podcast and assistant professor in the Department of Sociology at State University of New York – New Paltz, discusses how he landed in Academia after originally having his sights set on business, his ongoing community activism and how his podcast is working to bridge the gap between Academia and the people.

We also discuss how he works to create change outside of academia (23:35) and how he balances teaching, service, activism, and community engagement (34:00).
