The injuries resulted in him having to give up his passion and the sport he loved. Nick shares the depths in which post-concussion syndrome brought him to including intense headaches, depression, and thoughts of suicide. He shares how a strong support system and opening up helped him overcome his struggle. The group talk about how comparing yourself to others can negatively impact you and how to focus on YOU and your growth. Nick recently uploaded a video sharing his story in hopes of raising money for WES for youth, which is wellness and emotional support for youth aged 18-25. On the fourth episode of BRAINIAC, Edina Bijvoet, president of the University of Toronto chapter of the Concussion Legacy Foundation, interviews Nick Eustace, a graduate of Western University who has extensive experience with concussions. Growing up playing competitive hockey, Nick sustained many concussions, but it was a few major concussions which ultimately led to the end of his hockey career.
