A Book and Bellator: We were kind to one, to the other, not so much. Chris Olech, author of â??The Fighter Within: Every Fight Has A Story,â?? joined Joe Rizzo (@RearNakedChoke) and Jay Kelly (@JayKellyMMA) to talk about obstacles, frustrations, setbacks and joy of writing a book. We were very kind to him. Rizzo, however, was not as gregarious with Bellator, eviscerating the promotion for its sideshow event, Bellator 149. Olech (@ChrisOlech) returned to discuss his book, which is now on the market. He reflected on encountering just about every problem possible when he began his eight-year journey into authoring a book. Marketing, publishing, securing interviews, reviewing contracts and so much more go into the finished product. As Olech put it, writing the book was the easiest part. â??The Fighter Within: Every Fight Has A Storyâ?? can be purchased at Chapters, Barnes &amp; Noble, Target and most other book stores, or online at Amazon.com in print and digital versions. Someday Olech and Rizzo might join forces to write a book about Bellator, which Rizzo thinks will be out of business before long. Stepping away from his usually calm character, Rizzo ticked off reason after reason why he disagreed with everything about Bellator 149. Chris Olech, author of The Fighter Within: Every Fight Has A Story, chopped it up with Jason Kelly (@JayKellyMMA) on Rear Naked Choke Radio about his book and the similarities between being a champion in life and combat sports.    Olech (@ChrisOlech) wrote a book, which was an eight-year journey, detailing the paths to greatness walked by the finest competitors in the sport. Included in the book is a foreword by Bas Rutten, and chapters with Fedor Emelianenko, Rashad Evans, Rory MacDonald and a lot more, but itâ??s the common theme between all subjects in the book that Olech found inspirational.  The fun Olech had writing the book was outweighed by the struggles he went through to complete the tome. His passion for telling the stories drove him to see it through, but he spoke on the days of wanting to give up and how he found the fighter within himself.    Along with being an author, Olech has been a freelance video journalist in MMA since 2009. He worked regional shows in Ontario, Canada, and eventually conducting interviews with the gameâ??s elite. Olech, a child of Polish immigrants to Canada, recently got the opportunity to interview UFC strawweight champion Joanna Jedrzejczyk.
