In this episode, I speak with Stephania Stefanakou. She is the Co-Founder and CEO of House of Anesi. House of Anesi bridges innovation and bra technology to create a revolutionary bra. House of Anesi has created the first ever bra of it’s kind that can advance two cup and two band sizes to fit ever changing breast sizes every day of the month. The design and functionality of the conventional bra has left some women irritated with the way it makes them feel. Women’s breast fluctuate in size constantly due to hormonal changes such as a period, gaining or losing weight and pregnancy. The elastic straps dig into shoulders and leave painful red marks, and if you have bigger breast, it can cause health problems in the long term. Steph and her team saw this problem that women face and created a disruptive solution for it. House of Anesi completed a successful Kickstarter campaign. They sold $90,452 from 683 backers! We talk about the ins &amp; outs of Kickstarter and being a female founder.

She really wants to take emerging technology like 3D printing in fashion and help the fashion industry move forward and really make wearables wearable. Wearables differently than you might think. Wearable is going to be an overused term in the industry. You say wearables, people naturally think of the Fitbit, SCOTTeVEST or maybe smart shoes that have a chip in them and this is not that. This is what she calls passive wearable technology. It’s not super high tech with chips. They’re not trying to put electronics into clothing, but make clothing that works better because of the technology and that’s where the wearable comes in.
