135 Thijs Feryn Over Zijn Jarenlange Carrière Bij Combell, Zijn Reis Als Blogger En Evangelist Naar Zijn Nieuwe Rol Bij Varnish | What's On Your Mind? (Dutch/Nederlands)  Hi ik ben Peter en elke week geef ik jullie een podcast over personal development, mindset &amp; verkoop.  What's On Your Mind ? is een 1 uur conversatie. Iedereen heeft een verhaal. En ik wil dit verhaal van mijn gast naar boven brengen.  Thijs Feryn is een technisch evangelist bij Varnish Software, het bedrijf achter de immens populaire Varnish Cache open source technologie. Hij is  niet alleen een voorstander van de open source technologie, maar ook een evangelist voor de enterprise versie van de software.  Zijn missie is om de kloof tussen code en infrastructuur te overbruggen.  De eerste 15 jaar van zijn carrière bracht hij door bij Combell, het toonaangevende webhosting bedrijf in de Benelux. Hij begon als support engineer en web developer, en gebruikte deze vaardigheden om uiteindelijk evangelist te worden.  Problemen oplossen met code wanneer hij kan, en met infrastructuur wanneer hij moet. Kortom, het uitzoeken van de ideale manier om "de stack" zo stabiel mogelijk te houden.  Hoewel hij enorm gepassioneerd ben over technologie, is communicatie zijn krachtigste middel.  Hij breng zijn boodschap over via verschillende media: hij spreekt op conferenties, hij schrijf blog posts, hij neemt vlogs op, hij schrijft boeken, en houdt van interactie met mensen.  Ik heb jaren met Thijs mogen samenwerken. Ik liep hem onlangs op een open source Drupal event opnieuw tegen het lijf en vroeg hem op mijn podcast. Thijs is de persoon die het vuur aanstak in mij om met video te beginnen experimenteren en van daaruit is de podcast ontstaan.
