However, this song shot the 40-year-old Boltonesque  crooner into the national consciousness with a loving, soul-baring tribute to his daughter's innocence. The album knocked the SPICE GIRLS out of the number one spot in the summer of 1997.John and I discuss our memories of the song, and we delicately touch upon the obvious: Buttefly Kisses  is weird.
