Lacrecia, has been in the education field as a certified educator for 20 years with more than eleven years of her tenure in administrative capacities. Having served in every level of education including; a teacher, Academic Dean, Principal, High School Director, Instructional Coordinator, District STEM Director , National Faculty Member, and now Lead Educational Consultant for theEduProject and Adaptivex.  As a leader for change, Lacrecia has had the opportunity to learn and deconstruct systems necessary to enforce education equity, ethically and without liability through these experiences. While strengthening her skills in curriculum research, and designing high impact learning experiences, she continues to impact students and teachers around the world.  To provide Parents with the best guidance on how to connect home and school during COVID-19, Lacrecia was inspired to launch #HomeEdConnect. This initiative empowers families and students to learn together. LE 173: Teaching Students Their Independence Through Unschooling with Lacrecia Terrance

My name is Lacrecia Terrance, owner, and CEO of theEduProject and STING, (a youth nonprofit mentoring program). I am an educator with over 19 years of experience and have served in many capacities; a classroom teacher, Academic Dean, Math Coordinator, District Curriculum Coordinator, District/ School Curriculum Specialist, District STEM Coordinator, District Title I coordinator, STEM/Innovation Director, and High Principal. Each experience has given me many valuable tools to inspire, motivate, change, and impact student lives nationwide by offering them equitable opportunities and resources that would enhance and impact a student's future...Five years ago I was given the opportunity to excel further and extend my educational studies nationwide by becoming a certified national faculty member through the Buck Institute of Education. It was during the same time theEduProject was launched. In this position, I train educators, write blogs and articles to help failing schools turn around.As district STEM Director, I implemented the first Cyber Engineering Academy in Louisiana. I have been recognized as teacher of the year for my contributions to RAND studies to improve the quality of the curriculum. I am also a member of several professional educational organizations across the country. Each year, I attend a variety of webinars and conferences to ensure continuous growth.As a community servant, I have directed and hosted several events for the youth in the community. In particular, I have a youth nonprofit program that offers mentoring, scholarship guidance, educational training, and volunteer experiences for students 13-19years of age. I also host a summer event named “Called To Serve” during this event where we offer resources, teen sessions, and showcase local talent in a free concert. This is an event that our youth look forward to every year.
