It’s this weird merging of the two that you can’t really describe unless you do it…“ reflects Rob Griffith (drummer of Bronze Radio Return) about the unique nature of The Rock Boat.   Bandmate, Patrick “Packy” Fetkowitz (guitar) recalls their walk-on show on TRBXII as “the game changer for us… that’s what etched the rest of the history that we’ve had with Sixthman.”   They go on to share their admiration for Sixthman including their ability to pivot with unforeseen circumstances, maintaining a good balance between returning artists &amp; emerging artists, and how receptive they are to the guests’ feedback.  This respect is clearly mutual, as the band has been on 5 boats in the last 8 years (though several of the band members sailed on TRBXI as well as guests). Rob Griffith part 2 - “New dads just disappear”

Today on the podcast I have the drummer for the national touring act Bronze Radio Return, Rob Griffith.  Rob and I have been friends ever since we went on tour together in 2010.  Bronze was nice enough to let Dan Mills open for them and follow them around the north east region, and I can say that touring and playing music with those guys is an experience that I will cherish and remember forever.  In this episode I rant about the Chase Rice concert situation,  the state of the music industry, what it takes to run a DIY touring band, my “how did you join Carbon Leaf?” Story, and much more.  I hope you enjoy, and tune in next week for part 2 of this conversation!
