Today, I'm chatting with my friend, Amy Wolfe, the Director of Development for Safe Families Wisconsin Chapter. When Amy and her family opened their home to two little girls in 2019, she had no idea that this decision would open her eyes to the opportunities we have as the body of Christ to be a blessing to our community. Safe Families for Children is a family preservation movement motivated by radical hospitality, disruptive generosity, and intentional compassion to keep children safe and families together. They bring church and community together mobilizing an army of volunteers to advocate for vulnerable children and socially isolated families. Their goal is to grow a national movement of change agents passionate about protecting children and preserving families in communities across the nation and the world. Changing lives with Radical Hospitality, Disruptive Generosity and Intentional Compassion. My interview with Amy Wolfe

Amy Wolfe is part owner of TrubilT Collision Center in Altoona and Eau Claire, WI along with her Father and Brother. Amy not only puts in a lot of time at work making sure that her business runs smoothly but also travels a lot for the business to events, leadership workshops, and expos. While Amy works hard at her job to make sure she is making her customers and employees happy she also has to balance her time and effort with her family. With her husband and two daughters a major priority in her life the sacrifice that she has to make between work and family can get taxing. There is a lot of mom guilt that comes from long hours and days on the road traveling. Amy has found some ways to help stay connected with her family when she is away but it is never the same reading your kids a story over skype rather than laying in bed cuddled up with them. Amy knows that this is her life right now and does all that she can to keep the balance. Amy talks about how life and work clash, the struggles that she has had and what she had to do to balance it out. We all have different lives and priorities but balance in no matter what you do is key. “AgSafe is a critical resource that helps farmers in doing what they do best.” - Amy Wolfe   This week on The Produce Moms Podcast, we’re talking with Amy Wolfe, the President and CEO of AgSafe. AgSafe’s mission is “to advance the food and farming industries commitment to a safe, sustainable workforce and food supply, by providing practical education and resources.” Their aim is to provide support for farmers, advocate for farmworkers, and provide assurance to consumers that the food that made it to their tables was grown and harvested in a responsible, clean, and safe manner.   “The average education of a US farmworker is 3rd grade in their native country. 89% of farmworkers speak little to no English.” - Amy Wolfe   AgSafe has grown over 700% in the last 6 years. They are resourcing farmers and farmworkers, and providing integral education to help the work environments of farms meet regulatory standards to ensure the safety of the workers.
