La Torá es la constitución del pueblo judío pero el Talmud es el gran código enciclopédico que lo actualiza y lo interpreta. Existen dos "talmud" uno escrito en la Galilea (s. IV) conocido como el Talmud de la Tierra de Israel y otro el de "babilonia" (s. VI). Si bien ambos textos comparten muchos puntos en común también tienen importantes diferencias basadas muchas de ellas en su contexto histórico y geográfico. Mucho se ha escrito de como el mundo greco-romano influenció en los sabios de la tierra de Israel pero pocos han estudiado tanto como Shai Secunda para mostrar las importantes influencias persas-zoroastras en el Talmud Babilónico. En este episodio presentamos de que formas y en que sentido el contexto de la religión zoroastra, del reino sasanido y de la cultura persa influenció en el "Talmud Bavli".
