Aja and Shauna are sisters, producers of the book, “The Green Time,” and founders of the non-profit, “The Green Time.  Aja and Shauna were raised in a large family, were introduced to culture, travel, work ethic and community service at a young age. Their maternal grandmother, Blanca Alvarado, is an American social activist and the first Latina to serve on the Board of Supervisors in Santa Clara County. Blanca also co-hosted a radio program on KLOK radio and worked with Cesar Chavez throughout the 70s and 80s. Aja and Shauna grew up with a strong influence in culture, community, and service to others.
