Streaming has also created wealth distribution for content creators who are not popular in their city or country but are popular in other parts of the world with the help of social media and digital platforms like Youtube, they earn a decent amount of money from the comfort of their homes unlike many years ago where you may need your music or video on broadcast platforms.  Record labels sign artists for various reasons, some for-session recording, some as instrumentalists, and others may fit the roles for live performances.
