From the beginning, Mehran's mother was incapable of taking care of him, so Mehran was placed in foster care. Unfortunately, he had a hard time adapting and he was constantly transferred from one foster care family to another one and from one group home to the other. Mahran stopped going to school at age 14. He started using drugs and he also joined a gang. At age 17 he was arrested and brought to court and the judge made it obvious that once he turned 18 he would be considered as an adult and the consequences of having a criminal record were very serious. The conversation with the judge became the tipping point in Mehran's life. From that moment on he decided to change his life. He stopped all his relationship with his gang members, he stopped using drugs and decided to embark on an entrepreneurship journey. But Mehran was also showing some early signs of entrepreneurship. By age 10-11 he was working under the table, doing odd jobs here and there. At age 18 he opened a retail store, which failed and he went into debt. He took several jobs until he got enough stability to create his own venture. Today Mehran owns several businesses; a consulting firm, a clerical staffing company, an industrial staffing company, and a health and safety company.
