In this weeks episode I get to speak to Ebony Gilbert, the poet behind the recently released collection 'This Skin I'm In'. She talks about finding your voice amidst trauma, addiction, motherhood, and so much more. Ebony Gilbert is a poet and Doula, former model and actress. Ebony has recently released her first poetry collection called 'This Skin I'm in' where she picks up the pieces or selves of who she once was and gives them all a voice rather than hiding them away. Ebony has opened up about trauma in the past year whereas previously she stayed silent. This episode we get to look at Ebony's life through the perspective of her poetry and reflections. It was an honour to interview Ebony at such an early stage of what I know is going to be a successful career in poetry.
