I consider myself to be the kind of person who would like to serve the community and people in need with my expertise in ancient yogic practices, intuitive healing, and meditation, and stress management techniques. A lot of people are suffering from emotional distress and anxiety and if my skills can come in handy, I will feel that my purpose in life has been fulfilled. The passion I am currently pursuing in my life is following my calling for serving others because I believe that God has created me for this purpose and I am meant to help them in ways to live a holistic life. The impact I intend to make in the world is to bring peace and happiness to the people around me by making them take charge of their lives and showing them the right path to happiness and healing spiritually, emotionally and also physically. I am using my podcast, radio show, books and article publications, and online workshops to achieve this.  The people that have inspired me to pursue this passion are my parents, especially my dad who believes in serving others selflessly and Mother Teresa. My spiritual master Sri Sri Ravishankar and his teaching have also influenced me to teach about the sublime purity of the mind and the spirit because a healthy body and a healthy mind can bring peace to this world of chaos now during this pandemic. Support is necessary on your journey to success as an author and without it, you can find yourself in some pretty painful situations.  Like saying yes to an opportunity that is too good to be true. Oh, I hear many authors talk about the bad deals in the writing and publishing industries. That is where good sound counsel will help you succeed. In today's episode, Durga shared her experience as a three-time best selling author. Her passion is seen in the statement she made about moving together and growing together. It is when we lead with service that we see the importance of people in our journey. There are also the moments that people don't share like fear and anxiety. Durga discussed waking up at night with ideas and keeping her notepad and pen by the bed. She hit on several points including:~ Doubt will often come up when finishing your book project~ Remind yourself of what you want to accomplish~ Accepting ourselves is important to our growth~ Make sure you are around like-minded peopleNow is the time to write your book and tell your story. Born intuitive, spreading healing from a very young age in India, Durga touched so many lives all over the world. After a circuitous journey, including moving to the United States and obtaining a master’s degree, and working in the tech industry for over a decade, Durga realized her true calling was in helping others heal. Even her Engineering studies and decade long career in corporate couldn’t keep her separated from her work.When other kids were busy partying she was busy healing and working towards her certification in coaching, perfecting her skills and serving the World. She has been teaching stress management techniques, Yoga, Meditation for 15+ years starting from small kids age 3 and up, teenagers, university students, and Adults.Every cell of her body was happy when she was healing in all her roles.She is a certified yoga and Meditation teacher, Marma therapist, Relationship, Stress Management, and Spiritual coach.The spirit kept telling her that she should dive into this WORLD completely even though her technical brains said otherwise. Then in 2013, Durga leaped founded Be Free Now LLC by leaving her flourishing career in corporate America to do what she loves doing the best healing and serving the World.Through her coaching and other modalities she can assist others in getting in touch with their innermost being and through a deeper knowing within themselves, eventually, feel empowered.
