I know director, writer Adam Garnet Jones (Great Great Great &amp; Firesong) has a great sense of humour - I’ve experienced it first hand - and when he picked the movie ‘ELF’ as one of his films in his double bill - you’d have every right to believe the conversation is going to steer towards the comical, the absurd, or at least the witty.  But, no.  Not this time.  This time the conversation gets dark and heavy.  Stuff about abandonment, uncaring caregivers, and the struggle between fathers and sons.  Of course, things lightened up when we talk about his second pick, the dark murder thriller, STRANGER BY THE LAKE.
