André Bishop has been the artistic director of Lincoln Center Theater since January 1992. He has developed and produced new plays and musicals by many of America's leading playwrights, composers and lyricists. His many successful productions at that theater included three Pulitzer Prize winners: The Heidi Chronicles, Driving Miss Daisy and Sunday in the Park with George. Recent Lincoln Center Theater seasons under Mr. Bishop's artistic direction have included new plays and musicals, revivals and new adaptations of classic works, and solo performances, including Wendy Wasserstein's The Sisters Rosensweig, An American Daughter and Third; five-time Tony Award winner Carousel; and the award winning revivals of The Heiress, A Delicate Balance, and Awake and Sing! on Broadway.He sat down with me to tell me all about his journey and . . .
