And they are being very courageous; they’re just trying to change their own destinies. People are immigrating for three main reasons—love, war, or work—and all of those three reasons imply a lot of hopes and expectations.”

Ceramic Artist Sara Santamaria talks about her journey to Atlanta from her home of Madrid, the importance of geometry and patterns in her work, and how those patterns relate to how individuals adapt to circumstances and form intercultural identities throughout their lives. Sara also sheds some light on what inspires her about Atlanta and how she's growing more connected to the city's Arts &amp; Culture community.
