Leah is a Research Fellow with the Griffith Business School and a PhD candidate with the Applied School of Psychology at Griffith University. Leah is researching the link between contact and engagement with the natural environment and mental health and wellbeing in the workplace. In this episode Leah introduces you to the science behind our natural environment's association with wellbeing, and the practical strategies that you can implement to improve your wellbeing by making use of nature’s healing.

Using Nature for Wellbeing and Healing with Leah Hague

Leah Hague talks to Tabi Jayne about the need for evidence-based nature connected programs and an innovative way to measure and enhance nature connection in individuals and organisations. Leah explains how organisational psychology is at the root of what she does, how she is bringing nature connection into organisational psychology, the psychometrics she is developing with EarthSelf and the importance of using an evidence based approach.   Bio: Leah Hague is a consultant with EarthSelf. Her area of expertise is evidence-based nature connected program development and evaluation. She has experience of working in both the private and public sector and is currently studying for a PhD in Organisational Psychology with Griffith University, Australia. Her research focuses on the impact of nature contact on wellbeing in the workplace. Leah is also collaborating with EarthSelf to develop the Nature Experiences Questionnaire (NEQ) scale as part of her PhD. The Nature Experiences Questionnaire is based on the hypothesis that nature connection is a state that can be increased to boost well-being.
