She worked successfully for years in sales and management in the corporate world. Her search for fulfillment and meaning had her drop everything and enroll in a Counselling program. Daniela Abedrabbo, is a refugee from Abidjan in the Ivory Coast. She has lived in BC since 2000 and – 4 years ago – found her calling as a counsellor. Without any advertising or marketing whatsoever, her practice bloomed into a rapid success. She now has clients on 4 different continents, and a Yaletown office, bustling with new clients weekly. What’s amazing is this growth is exclusively from word of mouth! In spite of this, she realizes that counselling is not the only solution for people in pain. Sometimes healing may require seeing multiple practitioners to harmonize the mind, body and soul. The struggle has been finding practitioners and healers who specialize in unique modalities that can be foundational in someone’s healing journey. Out of this struggle, a baby was born – One Stop Therapy. “Alternative and holistic medicine are vastly under-exposed and difficult to find,” Daniela said. “It is challenging for individuals to access different modalities for long-term healing and transformation. We created this online platform as a solution to provide an abundance of resources.” One Stop is an online directory that hosts practitioners who specialize in different modalities. The focus is on holistic healing that accounts for the connection between mind, body and spirit.
