From being the only woman in her auto class to facing discrimination as a shop owner, Hilary Noack has overcome a lot in the automotive industry and fills us in on what it's like to be a young woman in a male-dominated industry.

Hilary Noack is one of the most respected entrepreneurs in Canada. She is the owner of Ink N Iron Automotive in Ontario, Canada and the founder of Auto Body Gals--a Women-Only Facebook group that strives to support and encourage any and all women in the industry. She has been an auto body repair technician since age 17 when she was part of a co-op program in high school. Since then she has worked as the first woman in the largest collision shop in North America, she has taught both hobbyist and college-level auto body repair courses, and she has co-hosted and appeared on several auto industry podcasts. Hilary Noack is the Owner of Ink N Iron, a shop specializing in classic car restoration, custom work, and empowering women. Her business is an all-female, auto body repair shop where she also encourages the next generation of female techs through teaching. Hilary got into the trade at the age of 17 and while attending trade school, she was the only woman in her classes throughout her school years. Knowing she would one day have her own shop, she set out to make it different than her competition, all the while noticing more women were entering the trade. After hearing their stories of struggle and discrimination and how they overcame those challenges working in a male-dominated field, she was inspired. After running an IndieGoGo campaign to fund her startup she hit the ground running and Ink N Iron opened the doors in April of 2015.
