My guest today is Dallis Meyer. In my mind she is sort of a renaissance woman. Just a few hats she wears: Wife, boy mom, roller derby queen married to the roller derby king, coach, general athlete children's ministry leader, nurse, a fabulous singer and my music buddy (stick around to the end to hear what I mean!) and just the best friend anyone could ask for. Dallis has rheumatoid arthritis which causes her lots of pain and discomfort. In dealing with the pain, she also realized the need to tend to her mental health. Roller athlete and coach, “Downtown” Dallis Meyer is a player in the Saint Louis Arch Rivals League as well as the coach for the men’s Roller Derby team “the Gatekeepers”. Recently, she earned a spot as one of the coaches for the USA Men’s Roller Derby team. A true woman of character who is able to handle anything thrown at her (including rheumatoid arthritis) Dallis makes for a hell of a guest and a perfect fit for a podcast all about gumption and grit.
