Episode 057 - Sliding into DM's Halal Style

[Cook in Style]How to make Halal Style Chicken and rice (4 servings):Ingredients (for chicken): 6 Chicken thighs (fat trimmed and cubed), ¾teaspoon turmeric, 2 teaspoon ground cumin, ½ teaspoon groundcoriander, ½ teaspoon ground cloves, ¾ teaspoon paprika, ½ teaspooncurry powder, 6 garlic cloves (minced), 2 tablespoon lemon juice, ¾cup Greek yogurt, some salt and freshly ground black pepper, 3teaspoon olive oil, 1 large onion slice thinlyDirection:- Combine all the spices, garlic, lemon juice and 1 tablespoon ofolive oil, salt and pepper. After mixing, work in the Greek yogurt.Then, add the cubed chicken thighs and onions and let it marinateovernight.- Put 2 tablespoons of olive oil in a hot skillet and after heating,thoroughly cook the chicken over medium-high heat.***You have the option of adding saffron as well, if you want yourchicken a little more yellow and savory.Ingredients (for white sauce): ½ cup mayonnaise, ½ cup Greek yogurt, 1tablespoon sugar, 2 tablespoons white vinegar, 1 teaspoon lemon juice,¼ cup chopped fresh parsley, salt and pepper.Direction:- For the sauce: In a small bowl, combine the mayonnaise, yogurt,sugar, vinegar, lemon juice, parsley, and 2 teaspoons black pepper.Whisk to combine. Season to taste with salt.How to serve:- Put chicken on top of cooked rice. Then add some shredded lettuce,chopped tomatoes, even toasted pita bread, with all the sauce
