Oh we’d profiled Jon on the Sea And Be Scene.com many times over the past 8 years – covering his music and video releases and featuring him in our holiday features like favourite Christmas memories, Best Present Ever and New Year’s resolutions – but we had never met until just last week at HUMANI- T Cafe in Halifax… AND to be clear there are 2 Humani-T’s in the city. On the day we were to meet I was thrilled to have finally made it to an interview in advance of the guest… sadly I had arrived at the wrong Humani-T…. so I booted across town getting there over 30 minutes late, flustered and dying for a coffee – and Mr.Mullane could not have been more gracious. We got to talk about his latest CD release, his process for songwriting, his award winning documentary and so much more, including and his partnership with The Campaign to Change Direction, where he stands on ghosts and his plans for the future on Canada’s EAST Coast. Jon Mullane is an award-winning rock singer-songwriter from Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada who has gained international acclaim and success with his music. He's had several Canadian top 40, Billboard-charting radio singles, and his song, My New American Girl, broke into the top 40 at #32 on the Hot AC Billboard Chart in the US. His songs have been featured on numerous television shows, commercials and sporting events, including his hit single, Make You Move, on NBC promoting the Beijing Olympics.Jon is a dynamic performer, whose songs instantly connect with audiences in any concert setting, large and small, and his list of concert and television appearances throughout North America is extensive, including performing at such legendary and iconic venues as The Viper Room and House of Blues in Hollywood, CA, 12th &amp; Porter in Nashville, TN, and the Gibson Stage at NAMM in Anaheim, CA.
