In today's episode in partnership with Office x Nike, we meet Shaunie Brett, who after working in a fashion tech startup decided she wanted to do a year of no clothes purchasing. She shares how that turned into a movement that then kick started her new career in fashion business sustainability, and how building a capsule wardrobe is the new smart way that we can make our consumer habits more sustainable.

This week, I have the joy of speaking with Shaunie Brett; a sustainable fashion business consultant and Cambridge masters student. Despite her thriving career as a stylist for the likes of LOVE magazine, Burberry, and menswear start-up Thread, Shaunie knew something wasn't right in her life. Shaunie Brett is a name we will remember. This is the woman who's giving up buying clothes FOR A WHOLE YEAR! Now, that doesn't sound that hard, right? But when you really think about it. When you think about the mindless shopping trips and the casual buys, just because, it suddenly starts to dawn... Shaunie Brett was a stylist, who grew her career at Thread, and now recently has changed paths massively in the fashion industry - now a Fashion Sustainability Consultant. Not a term that's very common (yet!).  In this week's podcast we dive into why we should ALL be thinking about the way we buy and consume clothes, not just how brands MAKE them. We dive into what this mentally means and the rules she has set herself on this challenge.  I have to say - since I've been introduced to Shaunie, she has already influenced the way that I consider shopping and randomly purchasing items that truly I don't need.
