Today I sit down with another high achieve guest, former D1 rower at Princeton who went on to coach there for 3 years. Eventually winding her way around to working at Hydrow like previous guest Aquil Abdullah. Today's guest is Hydrow's Director of Exercise Research &amp; Innovation - Kristin Haraldsottir. I start off with the question that comes to a lot of people's minds when it comes to rowing machines - how many calories am I going to burn? This simple question has a much more complicated answer than you might imagine. One of the common themes of many of my guests stories is that they all seem to fit together well in hindsight. Kristin herself admits to getting a few lucky breaks along the way, but also feeling like the harder she worked the luckier she got. After finish undergrad and coming back to coach with  Princeton it gave Kristin a whole new and wider perspective on exactly what rowing is - what rowing means - and what athletes at each level of the sport can learn from it.Listen to my chat with Kristin to get a better perspective on how we all have different paths, but success comes in many forms and can be achieved if we continue to try.
