Andrew Sparkes, Southampton FC 1st Team Goalkeeper Coach | Ep.6 Quarantine Series | Pro Gk

This week’s guest is a goalkeeper coach who slightly veers from the norm.   Once a Masters student in Sports Coaching and Performance at the University of South Wales, he’s since enjoyed a 15-year career coaching goalkeepers at academy level in the US, in Africa, in Austria and in the UK with Swansea.   More recently he left his role as Goalkeeper Coach of Orlando Pirates in South Africa to take up the same position with Southampton in the Premier League.   Andrew Sparkes joins GKU to discuss his early days in the business and the hard work behind the fulfilment of a boyhood dream.
