Steve Maxwell Jr. Joins Vintage Drum Show Icon Joe Luoma Just After The 2021 Chicago Show We all had a fantastic time at the show in 2021 and our good friend Joe was good enough to join me for a podcast! He has been there from the start and has plenty of good stories about collecting drums, the origins of the Rebeats Chicago Vintage Drum Show and even his contribution to the modern drum world, Hot Rods, the original bundled dowel drumsticks. He has been collecting drums from back when most people did not know what they had, and has some of the toughest to find unique rare drums out there. This is a fun one, enjoy it!!

Founded by George Way, Camco is one of the most iconic brands in Drum History and it only existed for 17 years... Without Camco, we wouldn't have the iconic round lugs that were later made famous by DW and the classic 5000 pedal that we all know and love.Joe Luoma takes us through the history of this extremely sought after drum brand from the beginnings as the Geo. H. Way drum company, through the 4 seasons of the company, and the end when Tama and DW purchased all of the assets of the company. Joe is not only a devoted Camco collector, he is also the creator of the iconic "Hot Rod" multi-sticks.
