Topic:  Sovereignty - The Other Side of Conscious Living    Sweetie Cheresse Hamlett - Creator of Sweetie Consulting    Talking about what it means to live consciously.  What does it mean to embrace sovereignty?   Q:  How did this all begin?  What was your journey to sovereignty?    A:  My family is a long line of spiritual women.  I’ve always had a connection with the spiritual realm.    In school, I was exposed to religion.  Through my own journey, I started to question everything, around my early 20’s  I started to get more into herbal healing, and I couldn’t understand why some of these things were not mainstream As I started to question everything, I came to realize that to ensure the health of your own body and the nutrition of your own food, it was our job to take care of that ourselves I learned to become a gardener The only way to really know what you’re putting into your body is to do it yourself, or to really know the person who grows your food We all have to play a role in the creation of our life experiences  We are dealing with what we have in society, instead of focusing on what we want to create in society     **Conscious living is also about knowing the source of your belongings, what you have in your home and where it came from.    **Being conscious of how many people are involved in meeting your basic needs (Food, clothing, water, shelter)    **My mission is to help remove some of those middle men, and put the power back in to the individual    Q:  Where do we even start with all of this?  You’ve created a very conscious lifestyle, but for a lot of us it’s very overwhelming.    A:  Absolutely, it’s very overwhelming.  I understand the overwhelmed feeling.  I was so overwhelmed at one point that I needed medicine for anxiety.    I’ve created a path so it can be more simple.    I’ve created Sovereignty Styles:  See where you are and where you want to go in terms of sovereignty.  Ask: What type of sovereignty do you want to have?    Once you choose your sovereignty style, decide your plan and what changes you can make. For example, a rainwater system that can get you a tax break.    The biggest part is actually taking action and moving on what you learn.  It can be done on a low budget.    Take your time.  Let go of the sense of urgency.   At Sweetie Consulting, we are a community, we offer workshops to teach you what to do.    Q:  Can this work in any climate?    A:  Yes, it’s all about making a plan.     Q:  What are the Sovereignty Styles, what is your sovereignty style?    Sovereignty Styles:    Cope &amp; Create  Coping, Creating &amp; Sovereign  Connecting, Creating &amp; Sovereign (That’s me)    It’s about living in harmony &amp; balance and living in alignment with nature.   Q:  I want to talk about sovereignty and spirituality.  When we remove ourselves from all of the systems that we’re a part of, it can make more room for spiritual connection.  What has your experience been with this?    A:  Yes, the connection is definitely stronger.  You start to feel more. It’s a different type of connection.  It makes you relate better to everything around you.    You get to see the beauty in everything, and you also start to feel affected by the mistreatment of everything.  You become a part of nature, and thus what happens to nature happens to you.  You can connect with the metaphysical and how it manifests in the physical.  You still see separation and individuality, but the focus is on what is connected.  It’s amazing, and it’s important to have a community of support with this realization.      Q:  I think a lot of people listening are going to be in the Coping + Creating style of sovereignty.  Can you give us 3 trips to start conscious living today?   A:    Self - Awareness - Being aware of the energy that you have, the energy that you encounter, and how to process &amp; manage that.  Spiritual Check Ups - We go to the doctor to get a physical check up, we need to check in with our spiritual being, the chakras.  Eclectic Energy Chakra Test   Reading Labels - Get into more D-I-Y.  Start lessening your chemical exposure.  Make small changes that have huge impacts.    Learn and make small changes, instead of beating yourself up for change.    Q:  Where do you recommend that we get unbiased information on chemicals?    A:  You trust your gut.  That’s why I put in the energy &amp; spiritual maintenance before taking in information.   You can feel a lie.  Eg.
