Director of Development and Marketing at the YWCA-GCR, Jamie Crouse, discussed the YW's response to COVID-19 and their 2020 mission series.The second event in the YWCA-GCR 2020 Mission Series will be on Thursday, May 28, at 7PM. In honor of Haitian Heritage Month, they will air Simone, a one-woman show by local poet, visual artist, and educator, D. Colin. The event can be streamed live at https://www.facebook.com/events/687070431861349.Simone is a hybrid of poetry and theater and tells the story of a Haitian immigrant woman who survived the earthquake that ravaged Haiti in 2010. Simone will stream live on YWCA-GCR's Facebook page and those who are inspired are encouraged to make a donation to YWCA-GCR to support their work in the community.
