They have many Paleo, SCD and Vegan food options to help people maintain their lifestyle of choice. This allows them more time to do what they love and keep being healthy. In 2012, Joy Leeper's oldest daughter (who was ten at the time) was diagnosed with Crohn’s Disease. After two years of being on immune suppressing medication and months of high dose steroids, they saw no improvements to her health. In 2014, her pediatric gastroenterologist started talking about putting her on a new medication and possibly doing surgery. As a parent, Joy was not comfortable with either of those options. She started researching alternatives to medication and learned of a certain diet for people like her daughter. After one year of her daughter being on this diet, she took her in for her annual checkup with her pediatric gastroenterologist. A series of blood tests are always mandatory after her appointments, and when they received her test results, they were very happy! They were the best results (meaning all of her tests were within "normal" range) they have had since before her diagnosis. At that moment, Joy knew that this diet was a forever diet for her daughter.
