In 2014, Vanessa Lapa had just released her new documentary film,  ‘The Decent One’, about the lost diaries of SS commander Heinrich Himmler. Diaries which miraculously landed in her hands. Am 24. 10. erscheint der Film Der Anständige von Vanessa Lapa. Der Film besteht ausschließlich aus vorgelesenen Zeitdokumenten, um ein Portrait des Nationalsozialisten Heinrich Himmler zu zeichnen. Gleichzeitig bedient sich der Film Archivaufnahmen, um die Briefe zu untermalen. In der deutschen Version werden Himmlers Texte von Tobias Moretti vorgetragen.
