This week hosts Aljon Go (@aljongo) and Dave Bossert (@dave_bossert) talk former Disney Animator, David Pruiksma.  Pruiksma worked on the films The Black Cauldron, The Great Mouse Detective, Oliver &amp; Company, The Little Mermaid, and The Rescuers Down Under. He rose to supervising animator and created the characters of Mrs. Potts and her son Chip for Beauty and the Beast. Other characters included the Sultan for Aladdin, Pumbaa for The Lion King, Flit for Pocahontas, and the characters Hugo and Victor for The Hunchback of Notre Dame. After completing work on 2001's Atlantis: The Lost Empire, Pruiksma left Disney and worked freelance as an animation director and storyboard artist for the Cartoon Network series Hi Hi Puffy AmiYumi. David Pruiksma worked his way up through the ranks at Disney Feature Animation to become a Supervising Animator! He shares many stories about his years at Disney Animation including some troubled times during the Michael Eisner years.   We discuss teaching new animators and David's "DAY ONE" at Disney and how intimidating it was.  Imagine every film you worked on becoming an iconic part of every child's life!
