Kenny Sills was in marching band with me for a year in college. That has absolutely nothing to do with this interview. A SEMO grad and author, he dropped his second book in his "Tattoo" series, "Tattoo: The Soul Reaper" this year. The first book, "Tattoo: A Beautiful Sin," was published in 2012.Kenny is in town for a book signing at SEMO's University Bookstore on 10/30/21, and so we sat down to talk about the new book and some of the SEMO Campus and Southeast Missouri references, among other things. Cloverleaf Radio's host The Host with the Most Jimmy Falcon "The King of the Quarantine" welcomes back Author Kenny Sills ahead of his appearance at the 2021 Dark History and Horror Con in Champaign IL Oct. 23rd, 2021! About the author (2013) Kenny Sills was born and raised in St. Louis, Missouri and attended South East Missouri State University where he studied Creative Writing as well as Philosophy and Theology. During his college life, he began studying martial arts in his free time under Julian Sims. After college, he moved to Houston Texas where he furthered his martial arts education under Tim Mousel for five years. Kenny moved back to St. Louis in 1999 after meeting his future wife, Syndi Bruchesky, on a family vacation to Disney World in Florida. Back in St. Louis, he became a martial arts instructor to kids and young adults with both physical and mental disabilities. Today Kenny owns his own martial arts studio; 'Ohana Martial Arts' which is located in Maryland Heights, MO. Beside teaching disabled individuals, he also teaches able bodied kids and adults. While martial arts has taught the finer points of self defense, Kenny has now conquered another important skill... writing a novel.
